Charity funding website launched
Date:
05 Nov 2008
Charities and voluntary organisations may find it easier to attract funding from the government following the launch of a new website.
A new online tool created by Futurebuilders England has rendered paper applications to its £215 million investment fund redundant.
Website content will include success stories, advice and application resources, as the organisation attempts to meet the needs of potential applicants.
Gill Nunn, market development director at Futurebuilders, said the fund was delighted to launch its new website, adding that she hoped it would encourage more third-sector organisations to consider loan finance as a funding option.
She added: "In the current economic climate, it is now more important than ever for third sector organisations to consider alternative financing options to ensure their long-term sustainability."
Ms Nunn added that it was hoped investments would help more organisations win contracts to deliver public services.
During its lifespan, Futurebuilders has offered over £152 million in investments to nearly 300 organisations.
